Big Group of Friends

**All opinions expressed in this articles are of Eunice. If you're offended by it, email me telling why.**

You feel most secure when you have a big group of friends at your side. Everythings more fun, and classes are always a bit shorter than they actually are. But are there some downfalls to having a big group of friends? Maybe, too big?

Don't get me wrong, having a lot of friends is a really good thing. But what if you want to have a little private get-together with your closest friends? You tell one person...they assume another person is invited. They ask them. Pretty soon everyone knows about it, and you have to invite... everyone. Would this be a scenario where a little close group of friends rules over a big group?

Another thing: Bigger group = more drama. Things spread fast around the school if you're connected with everyone. A little rumour causes the group to "choose sides", resulting in big fights. Situations are more exaggerated, and rumours are spread.

In class, people are more prone to talk to friends over new people. With a big group, some friends are bound to be in your class. Therefore, you won't make any new friends, since your friends are there already. Of course, I'm not representing everyone. but isn't this the case for most people?

School is hectic, and you don't have a lot of time to talk to people underneath the piles of work you have. So do you really get to know the people in your big group? Are they just "people you talk to" to get through the day? Or are they actual friends that you are able to talk to about anything? Your secrets? Your problems?
With a small group of friends, you are able to talk about issues without the fear of it eventually spreading around the school.

Having so many friends can obviously have it's up sides too. You feel more secure, and you're able to be yourself. You will never be lonely, and school will feel like a breeze. In between classes, you are able to relax and catch up on what's happening in the school. [Knowing the latest gossip is always a huge plus. you know. connectionzz :) ]. Left and right, there is support for you, despite all the rumours spread. Everyday is filled with laughs. Friends just...brighten up your day.
